The 2009 Sydney St Patrick's Day Parade was held on Sunday 15 March 2009
Parade Route
The Parade will start at the corner of George Street and Bathurst Street at 12.00 pm.
This year represents a change in the Parade route which will see the Parade come down Elizabeth Street which will allow for a great audience this year! The organising committee would like to have all 32 counties represented, as you are the heart of the Parade. Last year was the first time in many years that all 32 counties were represented and we would love to see the same level of participation again.
Many counties always do well with numbers, but many more still need people to come forward and be part of the Parade and get involved in the floats. If you belong to a county please contact your local representative or Darren De Souza the Parade Manager at theparadestpatrick@gmail.com and get involved.

Nominations for
St Patrick
Is there someone you know who has made a positive contribution to the Irish community here in Sydney? Or someone who has quietly worked in the background with both the Irish and Australian communities? Or someone who you feel is a prime example of what it is to be Irish, both present and future? If so nominations for that person to be St Patrick in our Parade will be opening soon. Watch this space!
